The Good:

The Charlotte Eagles had a great showing for their home game this week.  In the past they’ve been well below a thousand.  In fact, I had them pegged to have the worse attendance totals for the season (Yes even below LA and Dayton), yet they seem to have upped their game.  Let’s see if this is a trend or just a one off bump.

The Bad:

There is a lot going wrong for the Wilmington Hammerheads on the field this season and it would seem it’s now spreading into the stands.  They saw over a thousand ticket sales drop from their last game.  That’s a huge drop.  I have a feeling they will keep dropping unless something changes on the field.

  1. The attendance for the Charlotte Eagles v Harrisburg MLS team was bolstered by the fact that it was the first doubleheader of the year with the Charlotte Lady Eagles playing Atlanta. Additionally most all of the schools around the Charlotte area were either out or winding down so that added to the numbers a bit. Now that the weather is warm I am sure the numbers will be up for the Eagles.

    • That explains it. Well I just hope they keep it up. It’s great to see them get a crowd.
